The Gueuze Tilquin à l’Ancienne is a spontaneous fermentation beer obtained from the blending of one-, two- and three-years-old lambics.
Unfiltered and unpasteurized, it is re-fermented in the bottle for a minimum period of 6 months. The lambics used were fermented and matured in their own oak barrels at the blendery. They are made from worts brewed by Boon, Lindemans, Girardin and Cantillon.
Tart and dry but well balanced, which makes this extremely accessible for those not familiar with sours or those that tried some naff conventionally made sour down the local chain pub and are now convinced they don't like it.
