Our current selection comes from Bikcik and Baša Vino:
Bikicki’s vineyards are located in Banostor village in the ancient wine region of Fruška Gora, Serbia facing the Danube River on the edge of Fruška Gora national park. Đorđe works together with technologist Oszkár Maurer and winegrower Jelena Burmudžija to produce incredible wines of character and clarity that express the terroir from which his grapes come. Technologist Maurer ferments exclusively on natural yeasts and without additional intervention in the cellar. Bikicki’s philosophy in wines is balance and elegance - he believes in using natural principles to create wines that do not have bret or VA, preferring to produce clean wines which express fruitiness the terroir provides his grapes.
 
Baša Vino is the small family natural wine project by winemaker Bojan Baša, bottling limited quantities of extremely high quality natural amber wines. Baša’s vinyards are located in Serbia on the right bank of Danube river, in Sremski Karlovci on Fruška Gora mountain between Novi Sad and Belgrade. Baša uses organic and biodynamic practices and preparations without the use of any pesticides, herbicides, insecticides or artificial fertilisers. In the cellar Baša practices low intervention, working traditionally without the use of modern enological preparations. Baša works with indigenous Serbian varieties such as Tamjanika, Furmint and Morava, and from spring 2021 Grašac Beli and Prokupac. Currently the only international variety he works with is Pinot Grigio.
 
 
Baša Jantar 2017 - An amazing wine with a deep red colour that looks more like a Pinot Noir than your typical macerated Pinot Grigio. Think moreish cola flavours and herbaceous bitters. Needs time to breathe and can last for weeks after opening!
 
Baša Tamjanika Prva 2018 - A complex and sophisticated expression of the indigenous Tamjanika grape, unlike anything we've tried before. Floral and aromatic with some iced tea grip and a touch of spice. Our favourite!
 
Bikicki MOMA 2020 - An amphorae aged Traminer bottled in a lush ceramic vessel. Light and refreshing yet soft and structured, with a taste of ripe pear, sherbet and the characteristic ripe yellow fruit scent of traminer.
